Army Man

Army Man

A Poem by Tama
"

Many soldier separate from their families to protect their country. I hope the story of this soldier serves as inspiration to anyone who needs it.

"

You carry a gun in one hand, the photo of your wife in another

Camouflage may cover your body but it dare not cover your heart

A heavy load rests on your back and haunting thoughts on your shoulders

Yet you don't mind the burden when the fate of war turns bad

You simply raise your gun and give it all you can

Army Man head held high and voice ringing proudly

Carry on; move along so you'll make it home safely and soundly

Fight for us, for freedom

March along the curved road and hope that the destination will be reached

For as long as you continue fighting

We remain free
