Thoughts upon technology and the unfolding flower.
Awaken oh flowers of morning. Help me forget that incessant snoring, Of evenings slumber, now just past, While coffee brews within the flask. A face reflected. Mine? I am aghast!
Are you sure this is about "Thoughts upon technology and the unfolding flower."
I surely think it is more about being bored and even bored with self.
Hmm....
Serves you right, having coffee with no Flowers. Why you didn't pour me any?
Why would a flower share your morning without coffee?
For what I ask? So when we both look into the flask we both see aghast?

I will admit to a certain degree of boredom as I was reading the inspirational new byte on the geeky new iPhone app that does this. I guess this is what happens to any attempts at poetry BEFORE coffee, huh? ;-) ...and believe me, had you been in-proxima I would have certainly offered you a cup. Then we could have transferred our persona into the coffee and the flower so the time that followered would have been as pleasant as a summer shower. (I HAD to rhyme SOMETHING, didn't I? O_O )

When thou sits, with single, eye and ear
And writes from what, the muse you hear
As now I draweth close at heart

Visions strolling,passing by
Reflections of this earthly life
Weights in measure, Joys and Tears
Bloodshed,sorrow,hopes and fears
Victory's and wasted years
Triumph Light,darkness,near
Upon the porch on glider/swing

We'll tip our glass and toast with wine
Of days of light, soon coming by

We'll hold our thoughts

Drumming beats, on whispered winds
Drums a tune, it's all within.

You need to get to the coffee sooner Tam, life's little quirks are so much more receptive then, at least you live longer than those flowers bloom, they only get a season, pretty or not...

technology runs amok...soon the flowers will only bloom in cyberspace...they will all be mechanical...and rely on electric rain...

Oh, mornings can be so startling! Some days, it seems there's a stranger looking back at me from the mirror. Great poem.
You might like my poem, "Sweet Addiction" which is about the way I face those startling mornings! :D
