Dragon's Den

Dragon's Den

A Poem by Tally

The dragons den his lair awaits

Enter those who are brave enough

And see what you must face

Face up to your fears

Stand up for your rights

The battles have just begun

Hear battle cries of anguish and woe

Hear how they won through when all was lost

See their scars of victories and loss

The scars run deep some you see some you don’t

And some you don’t want to see

The tales they tell of life’s lessons learnt

Out of the frying pan and into the fire

The grass isn’t always greener on the other side

Heed their stories and learn from them

One chance of life is all you get

So put in your best as second won’t do

The fight is on let battle commence

Be courageous, be brave and you’ll win through

Life’s journey is one we face together

Through thick and thin we’ll stand united

Love the theme of fellowship in the last stanza. Life's dragons do stand against us and we hope to ward these dragons off or become wiser from the battle. Really nice metaphor. Keep up the good work!
