Time

Time

A Poem by Tally
"

The pathway through life

"

When we are young we want to be old
When we are old we want to be young
Time is nothing but a number
A game of waiting we play

Tic toc, tic toc

Tomorrow comes too soon
And yesterday was years away
Memories are distant places
Of days when we were young

Tic toc, tic toc

We live in the present
The past is gone but not forgotten
The future is still to come
Tomorrow is another day

Tic toc, tic toc

The clock tics on, the hours pass by
Night becomes day and day becomes night
Spring becomes summer, summer becomes autumn
And winter jumps in behind

Tic toc, tic toc

Time and the tides wait for no man
Onward goes the march
The gates of heaven are open
Just waiting to close behind us

Tic toc, tic toc, tic

Very nice...the only time we truly have is this very moment, and you illustrated it so well.

Very true, time does seem to go fast at times but then at other times we wish that it would slow down.

"Tomorrow comes too soon
And yesterday was years away
Memories are distant places
Of days when we were young"

Great write
