DIVORCE

DIVORCE

A Poem by Tally
"

Based on current events in the news today.

"

DIVORCE

The word is harsh

The fights are bad

The arguments not settled

The hatred lingers on

DIVORCE

Two people that once were one

No longer soul mates

No longer lovers

Separate paths they walk

DIVORCE

Marital bliss is shattered

Memories torn apart

Two sides to the story

Who was to blame

DIVORCE

Who has what

Material goods dispensed

Money is an issue

Harmony has vanished

DIVORCE

Lives on hold

No licence needed

Single once again

Vows dissipated

DIVORCE

New loves to conquer

New lives to live

New memories to store

New ways ahead

DIVORCE

New commitments to make

New beaus to meet

New friends to seek

New conquests to win

How true, how painful.

"Two people that once were one ... Separate paths they walk." No one is to blame, both are to blame. And sometime you don't even see it coming, sometimes it just slaps you in the face. And the harsh reality of it can be difficult to grasp.

Stark truths I speak from experience. Expressed well in poetic prose

great poem, I can relate to this because my parents split when I was really young. It is defiently a tough situation to go through.

Great poem, I can relate to this having been down that road a few years ago, you certainly have it all in your poem, a very acurate view and all the emotions that are felt too.
