All Hallows Eternal

The tie die sky turned purple as Jasper banged along the sidewalk on his stunt bike on a cool crisp October evening. Smells of wood smoke coming from the neighborhood mixed with Autumn Leaves and Halloween decorations filled Jasper with a sense joy and excitement.

At twelve years old he thought Halloween was just now getting serious and couldn't for the life of him figure out why its so popular to dismiss the tradition of Trick or Treating as "kid stuff" when he was more excited to go this year as any he could ever remember. Mom and Dad were allowing him and his little brother Matthew to hit the streets unaccompanied along side Jasper's best friend Brier. 

He had just left buddies house after playing some video games and was coming up on his street when a loud "snap" in the overhanging tree branches startled him out of his concentration and he skipped his bike off the sidewalk into the street, luckily there were no cars coming.
