City of Sin

City of Sin

A Poem by 'talie

Sun glinting off cars

Elevators creaking under weighed down tourists

The splash of pools at 5 star resorts

Grease and fast food smells oily in the desert air

Cigarette smoke coiling through plush lounges

The dinging of slot machines and ecstatic winners

The low rumble of male voices emanates from bars

The flash of silver dice throughout casinos

The stale taste of smoke, sweat and alcohol lingering in the air

The click of high heels strutting down the Strip

Welcome to Las Vegas; the City of Sin
