Another

Another

A Poem by Tali Ring

A loud noise breaks the dead silence
A sharp cry rings out
A button is pushed and silence presumes
But movement fights its way through the resting bones
PAIN
Not of the body
But of the heart and mind
An unbroken, yet unfixable heart beats for another day
Longing and yearning for
For what
It can't be said
How long has it been
Forever is the feeling
Infinity is another word
Another useless day the heart beats for
For what
One day it will be known
Not today
The once pure heart now beats unevenly for another day
The damaged heart names no blame
The problem goes unspoken
Most likely drown out by loneliness
The heart beats for another day of a wasted life
But for how much longer
Hopeless is the feeling
Dead is another word

An exquisite weaving of loneliness and depression and that grand voyage on a rudderless ship. They, the quintessential "they", must give out free tickets on that special ship. I see no other explanation for the random, sun bleached bones on an otherwise pristine beach. This piece, it glistens in a bright light that casts stark shadows from those jutting outcrops, just there above the heart shaped rock below the lighthouse that beckons the foolish ones upon these shoals of the soul. You should consider another motif because I have spent myself upon this one entirely. Something more uplifting next time if you please - I need a little help with the recharge of my emotional batteries.
