Love and War - An Ideology

 

 

Let us make love, not war

for it does not take us too far

where we talk of peace and harmony,

where,in fact we only make a self-mockery.

 

Friends have gone, sons and fathers along

for a cause that never remains a song;

when will we learn to love each other

and depend, and defend, and deliver one another.

 

Nuclear heads are making so much waves

and boast not, O many have weeds above their graves!

and knowing so, why is a war always a lie

when old men declares and the young must march to die?

 

"'And this is my story, this is my song," sang

a soldier guarding an old barrack in the capital

and I could only feel, my heart with a pang,

maybe my home going isn't crap afterall.

 

So, in the name of Enemies, Nation and Religion

let us not wage war for a better generation,

or war of freedom, or of inner conflicts do matter? -

Where, infact, Lambs and Lions would lie together-

 

Our Future.

[Coyote Poetry]

You are correct War leave no winners. Only poor people in the middle paying the price for men who do not care. I believe few people want war and death near them. I get confused why the common people allow our leaders to make threats before looking for a solution. A strong ending to a excellent poem.
