My native landA Poem by Talen Robert M. SangmaMy native land Oh! In you there exists a hidden treasure Red, green and yellow, colors of men's stature, immense measure Living creatures, all, together as one nature Flowing and growing, sharing with no puncture. Little bud keeps growing in spacious, chanting Easing peace to the soul, calming; exciting; The mind freeing from all noises Yet not a devoid, to making choices. City ailments, nothing, nothing of the kind From dawn, birds chirping sweetness bind Erasing all disquieting, gentling the mind Freeing all stinks with a breezing wind. Oh! My native land, Garo land That moves the feet to a soothing music, in a band Together all in bits performing one's own part To the rhythms, in timing, to scenic nature's art. © 2018 Talen Robert M.
