The Soul's LegumeA Poem by Talen Robert M. SangmaEveryone is unique in this world & has a purpose. Thus one needs to be proud of oneself yet one fails to look at one's ability & pays more attention to compliments of others. But one must be optimist. The Soul’s legume:
Thou art a unique camp A special bright burning lamp A foolish shall want of change Ungrateful to thy Maker’s hands. Give ingredients to thy soul Grasp more virtue, ignoring others’ ghoul Gain what, if gloomy when neighbors say: “Thou art incapable of thy might spray”.
Turn a deaf ear to the world’s improper voice Be receptive to inner song, rejecting the noise Breathe in the purest air purifying thy aerated blood Sanctifying thy thoughts to quench thy pillar’s thirst.
Abnegate not both praise and insult, For both are legumes to thy life’s sweet curd Yes, to purge thy certain iniquity Even when thou art not guilty. Loving the truth fear ceases, Appreciating journey pointed rock vanishes. Love inspires one and in another germinates In righteous laughter and populates. Leukemia gets healed and music forever endures. © 2017 Talen Robert M. Sangma |
