The Fire

The Fire

A Poem by Talen Robert M. Sangma
"

This is similar to a sonnet wherein the fire is compared to conscience that dictates to do right & avoid evil.We need to be conscious of ourselves. When we plot others actually it's plotting ourselves

"

THE FIRE
:

Awake my people, open eyes
Pay heed to - someone cries
Edify and be conscious of what’s around
Permit not indifference to surround.
Beware, what's eternal desire
Throw a fit off - into the fire
Thirst for not of mortal,
With fire conquer the infernal.
Why are you, an enemy to thyself?
By your heedlessness, slays the dictates of fire.
You connive and hate not others but self
Beckon bedevils to thy memory,
Fumigate peace and bury harmony.
Why brutal world, pleurisy and levity?
