You're The Hereafter

You're The Hereafter

A Poem by Talbot

A cruelty powered by the sun in ascendance;
blow the safe from a distance,
to expose our shared bloodstream

Where stillness strolls in through the holes of our skin.
Where silence protects us from the dark and her web.

It's just a big picture that's drained of a mania
a radiation shining from shoes full of spiders.
If tears had a shelf life and sorrow could dance,
In time every heart would waltz into the sea.

But you’re the Hereafter who’s wet from destruction,
laughing aloud as you steal from his chest.
Studiously working to unravel a mystery;
bleeding the sunset to prove magic exists.

About
My name is not Talbot. I am roughly forty-six years old and English. In all those years I have had exactly three fist fights and three love affairs. Unfortunately, I lost out on all six occasions. .. more..
