I am leaving you

I wrote this poem when we were moving from the city we were living in, so while travelling I just jotted down what came to me. Enjoy!!

We are migrating,

Leaving you.

It was amusingly pleasant.

And full of adventure and thrill.

Living in this

Admirable and delightful city

Was best part of my life.

I am happy we are leaving

Because we will be around

Our close ones.

However, I am sad we are leaving

Because you gave us a life

Full of bliss and cheer.

Although I am leaving you,

I will miss you

Badly.

Because you have so many memories

That I hold in my brain.

I am leaving you

But, I will miss you

Badly.

I think you definitely captured the spirit of moving away. I have done that way too many times and I am actually in the process of it again. I was wondering if I would write something about the experience someday, okay not really wondering, more so formulating the right words. I love this write. Great job.

oh.well that was touching..that repetition of the last line .that one made it a really nice piece.though i was a bit confused in the first stanza.i mean would you mind explaining me that....but still it's a nice attempt!!

Well actually first stanza is directing to both city that we moved from and a friend of mine. But the rest of it is to my friend.
