I am watching,

What looks like,

A star.

Burning brightly,

Above us.

A thousand light years

Away from us.

What would it look like,

From up close?

The colour, the shape.

What gases would it be

Burning?

I am sitting

On the grass

Watching it sparkle.

A billion, billion miles

Away.

Wondering,

How big would it be?

I am watching it,

From the garden

Looking at how it

Sparkles.
