Mere Random Thoughts

Mere Random Thoughts

A Poem by Tala Cheyenne

Alone and cold
I walked
Trying to find that ever Elusive
Peace of Mind
I thought about all the bad luck
The struggles I'd been through
And I thought about you
Troubles and doubts ran through my mind
My soul trying to figure out just what
It needed to find
Blessings abound, yes
All I wanted was to ease the suffering
The constant pain
To perhaps steal the loneliness from you
For just awhile
Some how trying to say, "I love you"
But like always my words got lost in my head
Swirling around in that darkness
Of confusion
And something silly came out instead
I can only hope you understand
I've been here all along
You only needed to call
And I'll try to catch you before you fall
Or if nothing else
Help you back up
On your feet.
Alone and Cold
Elusive Peace of Mind
I walked
And tried to find.
