Memoir of ValorA Poem by Ron Newtonfor those who have lost something you held close to your heart.Memoir Of Valor The skies filled with clouds of gold, corrode of crimson hell fire casting me out of heaven. Flames brace my fall veiling my body in a suit of flashing pain, My wings once opened wide with brightened pride now close with ashen remorse. Tears fall along in my despaired descent with every drop sharpened into frozen memories of heavenly past, these tears cut deep not of my body or mind but of what lies within, lacerating my soul for each rued sin…, it’s scarlet scared corruption spreading through my veins, mortally destroying my very being. Words of omniscient prowess foretell shaded veils of disparate darkness, shrouding the world in a nightmarish transcended decadence. My soul cowering in it’s valor lost and blood dampened sanity, wades in the depth of shallows of shadows awaiting the ever present presence of death. Woe burrows itself deep within my skin poisoning each and every inch of my degraded soul altered and splintered perceptions of reality leaving in it’s demented wake my soul beaten down and buried in the corpses of 10,000 sins...corrupting my heart, it’s remorse blackened veins bleeding out 10,000 drops of perverted truths... © 2015 Ron Newton |
