Justice

Justice

A Poem by ghostprowller
"

I have been in deep thought about this for a long time.

"
If there ever comes a day
When I must be forced to say
Fare thee well, the only one
Who has seen my strings undone

And I must be pushed away
By the tidal force, who'd say
"Give in now, we must be fed"
As their truth is tainted red

I have none, not one at all
That has cared to stop my fall
To extend their hand to me
And help when I'm in need

But it is so, the truth is strung
The lies and sins and flaws are hung
Overhead, while children weep
Silence has but struck their sleep

And so there the clocktower'd ring
As the birds refused to sing
The pendulum would swing no more
The workers back forever sore

On that day of black and red
The marks still around your head
That violence has done its worst
The guilty men were never cursed

The event that took place that day
Where none of us wanted to stay
We were stained and beaten with
Sins which we'd never admit

The peace that had been fleeting
Was a lie covering all killing
A mask to protect the monster
As innocent would blindly saunter

But that day is yet to come
Today brings happiness for some
Let us all enjoy it while it lasts
Let us all enjoy freedom's cask.

If there were any grammatical error in it, the fluency of this poem has completely covered it up. Excellent piece. Thanks for sharing.
