Madness

Madness

A Poem by Tainted Ink

Problems sometimes come
when the mind cannot understand
the existence of it’s own stunningly creative brilliance
thus by lacking faith becomes it’s own victim
closing itself up when it should open and expand
understand the dream~ embrace the fragile balance
that exists between madness and genius
if your blind to the grand scheme you will find only a fool’s dream
too timid to dance in the strange…the unknown places
screaming in protest you begin erecting spaces
placing you a distance from madness and seeking to silence
what you don’t know, the unknown in the extreme
pointing fingers and labeling ‘insane” so you can feel normal
misery thriving off the despair of another
missing the bigger truth " that’s no way to survive in the world
it’s a created illusion " since it’s actually cruel
hindering the beautiful madness and forgetting to factor
a simple kindness, boys & girls!!
imagination is to be nurtured, do not murder your talent
and settle for being ordinary, boring
conforming without at least questioning why
inside your mind or the dream dies, by remaining silent
always allow your mind to dream madly
follow not, stay low, dream high
