Hey You

Hey You

A Poem by Tainted Ink

I saw you today

wearing your hair pulled back in a braid

you were looking down

sitting in the sun

smoking a cigarette, seemed you were blue

I have seen you around before

I’ve been looking for you more

you live in  my building

on the 4th floor

your always alone, too

like me, all by yourself

lost deep in thought and you never smile

I wonder why

and if you would want me

to stop and talk to you

but I’m too shy

and I never do.

Very 'from the heart', connecting many every-other-day emotions into a heart-ripping moment. It's kind of like a poem that we all feel, but you were the first to actually say. Your pain is enchanting to read.
