Garbage

Garbage

A Poem by Tainted Ink

I’m the anti-hero

A neurotic mess

Unfortunate that I’m

Not very ordinary

There is no cure

For what I’ve got

I let the beast in

So why pretend

Sucked the blood from

Those I could

In f**k-you suede boots

That walked to hell and back

So what? Next time

I’ll go barefoot

Conjure me an emotion

Or a conscience

I’m lost in a world gone mad

Tap dance with madness

I’m the ghost who kissed

You 1,069 times

Before I slit your throat

Purple crayon & paper

Stars & glitter

Panties I stole from Target

Heroin eyes

Too white & too thin

I meant to do better

But I am always

Misunderstood

Why do you hate me

For knowing the truth

Now I am soul sick

And forgotten
