You Dont Gotta Be My Friend

This is a poem for, well, everyone. I officially dont have any friends.

 

You don’t gotta be my friend,

No one told you that you had to.

No one told you to stick around,

And pretend to be there for me.

 

Nobody told you that you had to deal,

No one stuck a gun to your head.

Nobody tied you down to my side,

And I’m sure of that.

 

I may want you to be my friend,

I may want you here.

But now that I realize that you don’t wanna be with me,

I don’t want you here.

 

I don’t mind being alone,

I’ve been that way all my life.

I was just hoping for one friend,

But that is not happening, not in this life.

Expressed with confidence, but yet so sad.....I do hope a friend comes along that will realize how wonderful friendship is as one shares, and laughs and enjoys the other! A friend can be worth more than silver or gold, but I do realize we can't force it on another....when it happens from the heart it will last!!
