HappinessA Poem by Tai-San
Happiness
I’ll find happiness,
This is true.
I’ll find happiness,
And this I knew
I can make it on my own,
I don’t need no one near me.
I can do it by myself,
Don’t need no guy, see?
I’ll be fine,
Makin’ it myself.
Ownin’ my own farm,
I don’t need any wealth.
Raised on the farm,
I love it.
I can do it by myself,
So you all can just sit.
I don’t care I don’t have a man,
I’ll get one.
For awhile, let me be wild and free,
With my son.
I’m on my own in August,
That’s true, bud.
Hopefully I’m gonna leave.
If you want proof, I’ll sign my name in blood.
So tell me if you’re happy for me,
Tell me if you’re sad.
If you’re happy, awesome,
And if you’re not, too bad.
This is my life,
And it’s how I want it,
Why should you care?
Please, just don’t throw a fit.
I know to some I’m like a sister,
And to others, a best friend,
And I know I stopped being friendly,
But now I’ll be friendly till the very end.
I really love you all,
And you’re all very nice.
I used to think all people were horrid,
Then I realized what I saw was only life at a slice.
So, now I’m going to go,
For I have much to think.
Right now I’m going away,
For I feel like I want to shrink.
