Scene One And A Half

(We go up to GLORIAS’ room. She goes to the bathroom to brush her hair. Behind her, a BOY comes up and puts his hands over her eyes.)

GLORIA

Thomas…

(THOMAS is a big kid with brown hair at the top of his head. He grabs GLORI, who drops the brush, and spins her around. He sits her on the sink and kisses her slowly and passionately.)

GLORIA(con’t)

    You’re so cute.

Thomas  (Smiling)

     I know. That’s why you love me.

      (GLORIA pokes THOMAS playfully on his nose.)

 GLORIA

    Yes, it is. But remember, today is a special day, so you have to be good.

   (Thomas’s face goes red in embarrassment and smiles.)

 THOMAS

  I love you so much.

GLORIA

   I love you more.

 THOMAS

Prove it.

    Say my name shines through the rain,

A whole life so lonely,

And then you come and ease the pain.

I don’t want to lose this feeling.

GLORIA

(C.T. Kitchen. We see a blue Volvo comes up and five very different teenagers come out of it with each carrying one bag each.

P.O.V. CEDRIC

SHANNA opens the door and sticks her head out. We notice that she can barley contain her joy)

SHANNA

Cedirc?

(The tall boy with long brown hair nods his head slowly and is pushed back, almost completely, by SHANNA, who runs into his arms in excitement.)

SHANNA(con’t)

Oh mu god! I am so glad that you’re here. We’ve been waiting forever, and now you’re finally here!

(CEDRIC smiles and returns the hug to SHANNA)

CEDIRC

Well, I’m glad you’re happy to see me, Shanna.

(CEDIRC notices KIMMY, who watches from a distance)

RONALD

Hey, Shan, aren’t you happy to see me too?

NILS

What about me, Shan Shan?

(CEDRIC lets SHANNA go hug NILS and RONALD and is approached by KIMMY)

KIMMY(sourly)

So, you’re that famous “Cedric,” ey?

(KIMMY walks around CEDRIC, looking him up and down)

CEDRIC

Yes, And you must be the over-protective Kimmy, right?
