It is what it is

Observational poem

It is what it is

and this is

how it is today.

 

The recession will continue to bite. 

Banks will continue to repossess homes

at a pittance of what is right.

 

We the people, will be dis-

possessed again!

And you know the rest.

 

The rich will get richer. 

The mean will get meaner.

And we poor smucks

 

Will get leaner

and be taken to the cleaner,

Again.

 

To allow bad men in Black

who got so many sacked

In order to spend our money.

 

To plunder

and squander

Again…

 

And we the people,

will just step right up

in the big top circus

 

Of the damned…

Oh I love the satire in this poem. politicians dont give a damn about us smucks how true. love to hate this poem (not the poem itself as it is very well written)

point blank right on the money. content sums up so nicely what many people, at least I do, think. I enjoy the flow. Nothing quite like a slap in the face with reality. Nicely done Tai. ;-)
