I really enjoyed reading this, I was a heroin addict, started with smoking it in cigarettes, then chasing the dragon and then injecting it, fortunately listened to the voice of reason and quit a couple of years ago, this poem really captures all that really well, pleasing poison indeed, you really start losing it in quite a short amount of time, try to quit but it's just too difficult to quit and stay off it for good, lacerating arms and all, I've been there, haha, withdrawal is the worst, nothing calms you down, too tired to walk, painful to sit, can't sleep, eat nothing, until the next fix, glad I got off it, anyway, I'm rambling, this is well written.

I find a little baby-like soul trapped in an addicted persons body fluttering to be free, getting angry without any reason and sleeping most of the time, laughing anyway! Your victory over this poison is tremendously appreciated, Am so happy for each person who does so. Thank you for sharing your ramblings, it was a pleasure to hear, Be blessed and smile =)
Tahsin, your poem is powerful and an excellent portrayal of the problems of drug abuse that is rampant around the world. Your language and poetic images are innovative and refreshing. Thanks for posting such an expressive write. :)

You have chosen excellent words to express his agony and describe his trap. It takes a tender heart to observe and understand this kind of human suffering. You have that ability. Keep it up Tasin.

This is an exquisite piece of writing. There's quite a bit of this that really appeals to my own way of writing, with such sophisticated vocabulary & alliteration & intensity. I love the precision with which you describe each detail of this ritual. Having had my own years of heavy pot smoking, you've painted this hopeless ritual in a way that's authentic. Great work! (((HUGS))) Fondly, Margie
