Black hole

Black hole

A Poem by Mara

I try to ignore the struggle
the bitter taste of emptiness
the weight of nothing
is crushing me slowly

Mara!
Have you read Piers Anthony's "Xanth" series? Everything not in the land where the stories live is called "Mundania," where anyone who does not examine their own life is crushed by a great load of nothing.
Nice work,

Simple, somber, but has a heavy impact upon reading. 'The weight of nothing' I especially love, it's an insightful and well delivered line. Excellent job! XxXx

I can not convey enough how heavy and deep this is. How profound an impact these words are to me right now. The juxtapose of emptiness and heaviness of how having nothing feels like a crushing abundance of everything. I really really adore the simplicity you create with the limited pallet, yet its gravity is overwhelming. Bravo

Powerful use of words. Create struggle with sad ending. Thank you Tee for sharing the excellent poetry.
