Nothingness

Nothingness

A Poem by tafara nyamhingura

I a drowning; drowning in a sea of my own depression
I feel empty still; it's like I am drowning in the sea of
Of nothingness; no I am drowning in the sea of nothingness

I try to keep afloat but there is too much of it;
Every time I catch a breath I I hit by a wave of nothingness
My heart shivers and I crawl, because what can I do, what will
They do.

They don't have superpowers they can't save me, I am alone
And terrified to catch a breath because I will break and fall
My head hitting the hard heavy rocks.
