empty soul

empty soul

A Poem by tafara nyamhingura

There is a drought in my soul;
I am walking on a big wide road like
an empty shell with tears in my eyes.
Tears that could flood oceans.
As each day passes and the hands on
the clock courts down the seconds.

Just thinking, thinking of how much you
hurt me empties my soul.
You broke my heat like a bully breaks
my bones.
Your words are as cold as an open door
to my soul.
