A Poem by tafara nyamhingura

I am running a marathon;
I am living a life;
A marathon I am destined to lose;
I am always left behind.

They left with me;
I went with them;
But they left me behind.

My fate, to be left behind;
I keep on going but don't seem
to get anywhere.

But I wonder is my fate really that
monotonous;
Am I destined for something more!!!

Wow, such a deep and psychological piece. Being stuck between allowing the future to unfold and holding onto the past. And being unsure of what the future holds for you. Excellently written.
