Lost WordsA Poem by TaeTurn back around and the words might not be there at all anymore. This passion burned me once,
Whispering sweet ideas to me, Making my fingers twitch, And wanting to hold a pen to a blank sheet of paper. Words caressed my thoughts, And made my imagination fly. There was an aching inside, To set these words free, To finally let this imagination sore. Now as days turn to weeks, And weeks painfully shifted into months, My fingers no longer beg to be poised above a crisp sheet of paper, With a pen within their grip, Ready to let the words flow from them, To make the graceful loops, curls, and swirls, Of all those words in my head. My mind now tired, Those colorful words, And fantasy worlds, Have accidently slipped from my once artistic hallucinations. So my dears, I warn you now with only good intentions, To write your words today, In all those spare moments that you have. Tomorrow, The words could be gone. © 2011 TaeAuthor's Note
