Frey and Fifi, a Deadly Duo

In the middle of their second trial, the tension finally snapped.

“You almost killed me!” Frey snapped, eyes wild.
“You can’t joke like that.”

“It got us to the end, didn’t it?” Fifi scoffed.

“The end? I could’ve died, Fifi!” Frey shoved her. “Where’s Levi? He was in your trial too.”

Fifi blinked. “Who?”

“Our brother!” Frey’s voice cracked with panic. “This isn’t funny�"where is he?”

“I have no clue who that is,” Fifi said, chuckling.

Frey froze. “I get your memory’s wrecked, but you’ve never forgotten Levi.”

She stepped back, eyes scanning Fifi�"too calm, too still.

“You’re not my sister,” Frey whispered. She grabbed the shard of glass from earlier�"and struck.

Fifi’s form collapsed into dust.

A loud clang echoed behind her. The trial exit door creaked open.

Frey turned. “Wait… that was the trial?”
