For Darker Skies or ClearerA Poem by Tadashi ShigoFor darker skies will obscure your view, And blackest rain will drench your clothing. Would you stick by her side, Or would your cowardice make you flee. Your tail in between your legs, You run like a whipped dog. You'll never see her again, Even if you wanted to. Blackest rain will drench your clothing , And darker skies will obscure your view. Run from her like the mouse you are, Fleeing to the place you feel safest. Do you even care for her? Or was she just a mindless play toy? Despicable little worm, Crawling among the dirt. Flee to that place you feel the safest, Run from her like the mouse you are. In the end, You didn't truly deserve her. She was too good for that of your stature, A coward and a thief. Stealing away her heart, Yet not even knowing how to protect it, You didn't truly deserve her, In the end. You cannot hide from her wrath, The fury of her hatred and pain. Tully forced upon your body, This bearing of pain will not last. You will cave like the spineless jelly you are, Yet the pain will not end with death. The fury of her hatred and pain, Her wrath, you cannot hide from. For clearer skies you will never again see, And crisp air you will never taste. You'll never have to worry about sticking by her side, Your cowardice cured by one thing. Death befits you, You finally fled to the last place she can't look. You'll be safe from her, But was it worth it in the end? Crisp air you will never taste, For clearer skies you will never again see. © 2011 Tadashi Shigo |
