Thieves and Crooks
Tad Kent The road isn't as fun as it looks Filled with it's thieves and its' crooks stealing me now, come save me somehow I'm still so scared to be with her I can't stop staring at old pictures, pulling me in, still miss my best friend So I'll sing a song where the words are never right and pretend you're by my side. I'll just keep drinking through the hours of the night and play movies in my mind, where you hold me close and everything's right. I wish you'd believe what I say I'm fighting the fear every day, that you'll leave me here well, it's never been clear. I still remember the summer that I fell for you like no other Love in my life, I can't make things right. So I'll sing a song where the words are never right and pretend you're by my side. I'll just keep drinking through the hours of the night and play movies in my mind, where you hold me close and everything's right. Oh, I hope and I dream that one day you'll just choose me instead of them instead of him. I still remember the time where I saw the pain in your eyes. © 2015 TadKentAuthor's Note
