Ghosts

Ghosts

A Poem by TadKent
"

The ghosts of a memory, the ghost of relationship, the ghost that I turned into when I left myself behind. . Live acoustic performance here: http://www.facebook.com/video/video.php?v=1940943689255&com

"

Take a look right now
There's nothing left
There's nothing but these sad old memories
to come and collect.
Take a look right now
Back to the start
Let's take it back to the black and white,
when I had your heart.

You know there's nothing else
that keeps me up at night

So Honey if you see me,
Wave goodbye
I'm just your ghost right now
Haunting you with my eyes
Take a look and you'll notice
Across the sky
I'll write your name up high
So everyone can wonder why

Someone tell me how
Get it through my head
Someone show me how to Love
and do what's right instead.
Someone teach me how
I can save my name.
Baby calm the storm inside my mind,
try to keep me sane.

Honey know there's no one else,
that keeps me up at night

So Honey if you see me,
Wave goodbye
I'm just your ghost right now
Haunting you with my eyes
Take a look and you'll notice
Across the sky
I'll write your name up high
So everyone can wonder why

Baby look around,
listen to the sound of the silence
bouncing off the walls
It's not the end
though I'm already dead, I wish I
knew this was all pretend.
Oh Lovely save my soul, only you can
make me whole again.

A little more wordy than I usual am, but I guess you just have to hear the song.

This is gorgeous! I usually don't listen to songs with a sound like yours' (usually its gloomy, doomy stuff) but this is reeeaaalllyy good, and I think it's the lyrics that really give it its weight. I'd seriously buy it from you if you had a studio recording of it... ;D

Too bad I can't give you 110/100 -.-

Might be more wordy then your usual as you said in your authors note, but I think you chose the right words. Some really nice lines in this, I enjoyed this... it is a different picture with how you used the word ghosts.

Oh dear, not only do I love your voice, and I mean love, it makes me want to say 'yay', but I love your sound too, totally chilled and beautiful, the type of thing I Iisten to everyday. You're very talented. Think I might have to be a little bit in awe of you from now on, and a little bit in love with you too. Hope you're ready for that.

"Calm the storm inside my mind"..
I loved this because of the power behind the emotion.. The pleading and needing not out of weakness but from a strong core of love.. Very nice..xx
