I'd Much Rather

I'd Much Rather

A Poem by TadKent
"

:)

"

I'd much rather fly a broomstick,

Much rather go to Charms,

Than end up somehow in a cannibals arms.

I'd much rather wear a cloak

That makes me shadowy as the night,

Than glow when the sun hits me, like some

fairy made of light.

I'd much rather learn a spell,

Receive Owl mail,

Than sell my soul for eternity,

and pretty much be damned to hell.

I'd much rather befriend a giant,

Fight a Hungarian dragon,

than worry about how I look as an immortal.

I'd much rather leave America,

than stay in Forks

and choose beastiallity or necrophilia.

So obviously you see,

at least when it comes to me,

there's no comparison between Edward and Harry.

:) I know the rhythm is crazy, and the rhyme is inconsistent, but I did it for kicks. :)

Haha. Amazing poem dude. Its about time someone stands up against the horrible monstrosity that is Twilight.
I don't like the Harry Potter series much either, but there's no comparison between HP and You Know What!

I don't know what to say. I'm rolling on the floor laughing!

I don't think the rhyme or the rhythm matters here. The subject matter demands the poem to be awkward, I guess. This poem had me in splits from the first stanza.

Awesome poem, mate!

I love this poem! Haha, the rhythm wasn't crazy at all. It was smooth, and though not all the stanzas rhymed, most of them did, and creatively too; which made it all the more entertaining. Your message came out perfectly, I think I understood your comparison right from the first stanza. Awesome poem, overall! And your title was a perfect fit. Great job! ^^

Haha not bad. I like the idea for the poem, and totally agree. Obviously the poem itself doesnt flow that amazingly, but if you dont mind, thats cool too. Good job. :)

I loved it. It's pretty funny how you portrayed Twilight. Personally, I don't mind Twilight but I love making fun of fans as I don't get why they love it so much. I personally, am very devoted Harry Potter.

This is hilarious xD I am one of those rare people who love both series, but I love to make fun of the Twilight fangirls. It is easily made into humor. GREAT write!

I love it xD. Like don't get me wrong though I like the idea about vampires but ones that sparkle piss me off xD. But rhyme and verse in poetry are just small aspects of it. Poetry is written to defy the rules of English or at least that's what my Writers Craft teacher tells us so no matter what it is poetry. So yes I'm giving you 100/100 for comedic value

I'd much rather ride a broomstick, and go to Hogwarts LOL!
Cute poem with a lot of style.
