I'd Much Rather

I'd Much Rather

A Poem by TadKent
"

:)

"

I'd much rather fly a broomstick,

Much rather go to Charms,

Than end up somehow in a cannibals arms.

I'd much rather wear a cloak

That makes me shadowy as the night,

Than glow when the sun hits me, like some

fairy made of light.

I'd much rather learn a spell,

Receive Owl mail,

Than sell my soul for eternity,

and pretty much be damned to hell.

I'd much rather befriend a giant,

Fight a Hungarian dragon,

than worry about how I look as an immortal.

I'd much rather leave America,

than stay in Forks

and choose beastiallity or necrophilia.

So obviously you see,

at least when it comes to me,

there's no comparison between Edward and Harry.

:) I know the rhythm is crazy, and the rhyme is inconsistent, but I did it for kicks. :)

Haha. Amazing poem dude. Its about time someone stands up against the horrible monstrosity that is Twilight.
I don't like the Harry Potter series much either, but there's no comparison between HP and You Know What!

I don't know what to say. I'm rolling on the floor laughing!

I don't think the rhyme or the rhythm matters here. The subject matter demands the poem to be awkward, I guess. This poem had me in splits from the first stanza.

Awesome poem, mate!

Omg, man I'm wondering the same thing. Why copy stephanie meyer? Rowling earned a lot of money with like seven movies out while twilight has only four? Besides, I love the imagination captured in Harry Potter. The book makes me feel like things are possible and it's okay to dream, get stronger, and etc. With Twilight, it's just BLAH. The whole poem made me laugh! I was captured by the pic and title. Awesome write.

This is such a good compare and contrast. Especially that I prefer Harry over Twilight. Good to see other writer's dislike Twlight instead of completely worshiping it. Good poem =)

Before I was old enough to hold the quill, I used to write poetry with my a*s. Those were the days! This poem makes me nostalgic.
