Gothic Girl

Gothic Girl

A Poem by Tachycardia
"

I get stared at all the time. For the way I dress. Who are you to tell me what to wear?

"

..I dress a certain way, and people often stare..
Do you think that is so fair?
My red and black eyeshadow, my thick black eyeliner,
my knee high combat boots, my fish nets or striped stockings,
my choker, and chains, ( no, their isn't slices on my veins. )
My nightmare before christmas obsession, my skulled up belt...
It's just me.
My style.
My taste.
My like.

It's my life.
So why stare like I'm a freak? I do presume you dress in what you feel comfy in... Are you trying to imply, that I am not?

A useful sentiment expressed well. One correction would be to "their isn't" which should be "there are".

I'd quite like to see the rebuttal from a shocked and outraged, more socially conservative person. "It's my life, these are my eyes, why make me see your Satanic disguise". That kinda thing.
