Broken Laughter

Broken Laughter

A Poem by Tabitha_Song

The cool March wind

Blowing into my face

Suddenly reminds me

Of a time and a place

When things were much more simple

Life was easy then

No broken laughter

Just hearts free of sin

The sun kissed my cheeks

Sand discovered my feet

And breathing was easy

Even in summer's heat

Not a care in the world

I didn't know what they were

Long before broken laughter

Would ever occur

Now life is much different

This space and this time

Has altered my laughter

Consuming my mind

But isn't that life?

From smiles to tears

That's where broken laughter

Had been all those years

Hiding in wait

For our hearts to grow old

But is broken laughter

What the future will hold?

The cool March wind

Blowing into my face

Now just a memory

Of a time and a place

No more simplicity

Life was easy then

Now broken laughter

Will never see an end

This peace scans well, i almost wanted to read it aloud, and even though, it started nice it with a slight sad tone, wich is the point of a poem, to convay an emotion, or stoy telling. well done :) pleas keep writing
