Dark Chronicle 8: Demon's CatA Poem by Tabitha AlphessOn silent paws it crept closer, with claws unsheathed it pounced.aDemon’s Cat b dc On
silent paws it crept closer, with claws unsheathed it pounced. cd Terror. That’s what I feel. Pure terror. A decision was
made. A decision that nearly destroyed me. And now, I realize, I’m terrified of
what decision will be made next. Tip, Tap. Trip, Trap. Tip, Tap. Trip,
Trap. It travels through
the dark recesses of my mind. Haunting me. Mocking me. Devouring me. And it
won’t stop until there is nothing left. Nothing
at all. Tip, Tap. Trip, Trap. Tip, Tap. Trip,
Trap. It claws away at my
sanity. Eating away any joy I manage to get a
hold of. I don’t know how much longer
I can hold on. Before it eats away
at me entirely. From the
inside out. To
the outside in. Till
there’s nothing left to bury. Nothing
at all. Tip, Tap. Trip, Trap. Tip, Tap. Snip, Snap. I’m tired. Scared. Lost. Alone. Oh, so alone. It hurts. Oh, it hurts. But
there’s nothing left to be done. But
let it finish this. I’m
too tired to fight back. To
do anything else. I’m
done. It’s over. On silent paws it crept closer. With claws unsheathed it
pounced. © 2013 Tabitha Alphess |
