Regrets

Regrets

A Poem by Tabitha Alphess
"

Enjoy.

"
Fear and Trust.
One threatens to devour me
And the other wants to help me.
But Fear keeps me from running into Trust's welcoming arms.
My Father's arms.
I want to get to know Him
But HE won't let me.
And I don't know the Words to keep HIM at bay.
And that, I fear, will be my biggest regret.

This is certainly a dilemma we all face many times in our lives. You have expressed the conflict directly and simply. If I had written this, I would not capitalize Fear and "keep HIM at bay" -- do not give the devourer of man's soul the dignity of the caps. But that is simply another viewpoint. Your expression is complete.
