The House, a Penny, and Compassion

The House, a Penny, and Compassion

A Poem by Tabitha Alphess
"

Cram poem we did for school. This was stressful. Enjoy.

"
We all have these things in common; we all have a house, we all have compassion, and we all have at least a penny to our names.

We all have a house - whether it be a home is up to each individual. What makes a house are bricks, wood, and metal structure. What makes a home is wherever the heart feels it best belongs.

Compassion is a divine emotion, a wondrous gift given freely by God. It brings hatred to its knees and mends shattered hearts. But it can only take flight when someone who has a heart overflowing with love, to reach out a hand and help a lost soul get back on their feet.

You don't have to have money to be rich. You can have all the money in the world and still have nothing at all. The secret to true wealth is unconditional love towards others. For out of the abundance of the heart a person gives.

We all have three things in common; we all have a house, we all have compassion, and we all have at least a penny to our names. But we don't need a penny to be truly rich or a grand house to live in. All we really need is the compassion and the love of Christ. God bless.
