Burning me up inside
Setting fire to my lungs
Melting everything I am

Sadness
Crashing against my mind
Like ocean waves
Soaking me to the bone

Happiness
Warming me like sunlight
Light and playful
Against my skin

Excitement
Winding me up
Like a Jack-in-the-Box
Making me pop

Heartbreak
Ripping me
At the seams
Falling to the floor

Confusion
Whirling me around
In an ever-changing mist
Clouding my mind

Lethargy
Dragging me down
Into watery depths
Surrounded by comfort

And most importantly,

Love
Rising inside me
Making me float
Among the clouds

You make me feel all of these
And yet
I make you feel none
