There's Never Been a Well Written Poem and Never Will

A Poem by Chris
"

Ignore the title.

"
Mortal and weak and unable to express
anything really
But still try
I dare you
Spend your whole life writing
Until time writes you away
But we don't mind
Don't care
Don't live for answers
We live for problems
They swing with us
With the punches
Tit for tat until our knuckles bleed
Our knuckles bleed but we got more
blood
So sitting numb and distantly grey
On the shore where waves crash loud mistakes
Don't dig foot holes in the sand
You won't bury your toes
Build great mounds to reach
For this sun hanging white and unreachable
But it wants you to reach
Reach goddamnit
reach
Because what else is there to do
When you are made of jelly flesh
Chicken wire bones
And a mind spinning above it all?
What else to do
but reach before the fall?
