Night Works

Night Works

A Poem by Barbara Johnson
"

Not just in the day you can observe beauty and uniqueness, but you can also observe beauty and uniqueness at night.

"
With the earth now darkened,
there is a hush dripping so tranquil
like a sensitive soft-sung psalm.
I can hear the yielding sound of
the stream without a present or past.
Delightful jewels partaking of
the moonshine of serenity which
brings about unique tenderness to the
death of day and the birth of night.
Precious lights leaving a lavish path of
glitter that assemble across the black,
sanguine sky to inspire, influence,
captivate, and grab firmly.
Deep in the depths
of the quiet heavens a grand
stir of stillness, an ample,
affectionate encounter which
thoroughly grips my entire vision, as
I shiver with sureness of what's beyond.
Oh what mystery and wonder of existence.
