As in Come the Rain

As in Come the Rain

A Poem by ROXANE DORSEY

As in came the rain
untamed
fastened cold showed
wetness rolled

as in came the rain
sun refrains
stage freight come night
dampen shadows
spotlight concrete crystals

as in came the rain
silhouettes curvy black
Marvin Gaye grooves mood
rainbows elude
grayish night
kisses reign
you & I

Good write, Roxane. You paint a vivid scene and set the mood so well. Marvin Gaye was a particularly good touch. I hear his voice in the darkness.

Awesome write... I love the rain and I enjoyed your witty description of a storm.
