Some Water

Some Water

A Poem by ROXANE DORSEY

drip, drip, drips goes the kitchen faucet
loud flow tap water down the drain
micro mini deposits ride to it's watery depth

running water for gulps of thrust thirst
I'll drown it's wet flow invisible taste
clear liquid of coldness

ice cubes one, two, three and one more
tops my cup of mixed cubs and liquid h20
quickly quench the hotness within, cool.
