UncertaintyA Poem by ROXANE DORSEY
Plunging into a river of tropical fruit
life, so full of feathers delighted my soul enlightened me spirits so cheerfully never did I mind if it was frigid cold Whatever, whoever if I felt threatened. backup had my back, I called the man who holds me hand as he & I see eye to eye boy o boy can he and I understand Blinded by a day's hardship, encamped within seem like many a years. It is I who wishes to plow into eternity for thoughts of my purpose is trapped Somewhere between earth, the unknown, let's call it living swell by the watered well Yes, I thirst for who I am A woman wit many questions than answers My emotions are stirred, churning wit fear It is the fear from listening to the wrong, another who knows nothing, get me. I'm stronger than my weaknesses if only I grasp a hold of my thinning feelings, inflate them with strength & courage then I can realize my self worth and be my own contingent to escape the black swirling tunnel of death as I walk this life of mine for it seems survival to the fittest, but one must never forget where he/she comes from.
