Today's TeensA Poem by ROXANE DORSEY
Baltimore uprising, Freddie Gray and many others to say
this isn't the way. A way down an unforsaken path to no avail. Nowhere but the corner to plight. No social skills. we might as well fight. Boundaries crossed bring on the wars of disrespect and neglect feelings of despair. No one's to share. Low self-esteem, teens drink fuel of fire and pop a perc to give 'em liquid script of courage, a fight- ing desire. What a mean joke when young folks can't fight instead pull the lead to the trigger. All they conspire is murder for hire. Shame to loose a good kid to the dead. No respect for the suspect who murders. Oh, how we must indulge to confront the problem to bring about a solution for inner city youth who don't give a hoot.
