Sweet RainbowA Poem by ROXANE DORSEY
How sweet is a rainbow.
Spectators wants to know. It arches over the deep blue sea. Watch me to see it reach wider than the clear blue sky.
Wow, there goes my rainbow that covers half the sky, taking hold of the air going up, up high. Neighbors sigh, I don't know why. They can't see like I. Five colors I know riding my rainbow. How sweet is our rainbow that holds all the colors you know. Oh me, oh my, climbing up high, way up to the sky a beautiful rainbow bending over so bold. Birds swing and sing looking at such a mysterious thing. The animals, watching everything as they listen to a sweet melody. I wish to be high up singing on a rainbow, it's the only place I know that love's not cold. © 2017 ROXANE DORSEY |
